Limited Liability partnership is a partner firm with Limited liability that follows Limited Liability Act, 2008 and it is the important step for LLP incorporation. LLP is type corporate structure that contains the features of both partnership firms as well as Company. Main objective of LLP is to provide the flexibility of a partnership with the benefit of limited liability of a company. Here is the procedure of how to check LLP name on MCA website.
Following is the process of checking a name for the Limited liability partnership-
Step-1- Go to the website of ministry of corporate affairs www.mca.gov.in.
Step-2- select the option MCA services.
Step-3- Further, you need to click on the option check LLP name under the LLP services option.
Step-4- fill the LLP name and the proposed activity type. The name chosen for the LLP must be unique and shall not resemble with the name of any existing company. Further, the guidelines issued by the MCA shall also be adhered to while choosing an appropriate name for the LLP.
In case the name selected by the applicant already exists than the data of the company to which such name belong will appear and the applicant is required to select another name.
However if the name selected by the applicant is unique then an error message will appear and the applicant can apply for the same.
